{"id":2051,"date":"2024-01-25T16:07:32","date_gmt":"2024-01-25T16:07:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dhradio.org.uk\/wordpress\/?p=2051"},"modified":"2024-02-05T15:38:35","modified_gmt":"2024-02-05T15:38:35","slug":"expansion-of-the-ae-department-at-the-university-of-north-durham","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dhradio.org.uk\/wordpress\/expansion-of-the-ae-department-at-the-university-of-north-durham\/","title":{"rendered":"Expansion of the A&#038;E department at the University of North Durham"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Work has started on the expansion of the A&amp;E department at the University of North Durham. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dryburn House opposite the A&amp;E, will be demolished to make way for the 2 storey extension.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dryburn House\u00a0built in 1824\u00a0was once the home of railway baron William Lloyd Wharton (1789-1867), who ran the North East Railway Company.\u00a0Dryburn House was\u00a0later used as part of the hospital.
