Durham Hospitals Radio is delighted to be shortlisted for the following categories in the National Hospital Radio Awards 2026:
Best Programme with multiple presenters: The Sugar and Spice Show with Eileen, Nicky and Dawn
Best Speech Package: Together We Will Be OK
Female Presenter of the Year: Eileen Thompson
Best Special Event: Maundy Thursday Royal Visit
Best Specialist Music Programme: Front Row Centre
Best Newcomer: Catriona Uren and Colin Young
Station of the Year: Durham Hospitals Radio
There are 13 categories in total and the awards are run by the Hospital Broadcasting Association (HBA), a national charity that supports and promotes Hospital Broadcasting in the UK. The winners will be announced at the HBA conference on 21st and 22nd March 2026 in Bolton where they will be celebrating 100 years of hospital radio in the UK.
